WHAT WE DO.
Our mission is to foster organizational commitment to evidence-based decision making, library assessment, research and development. OUr focus areas include: improving library and university organizational strategy, outcomes and success metrics; building the case for effective budget presentations; refreshing library assessment and statistical gathering activities; supporting institutions with their accreditation.
Having Martha’s vast knowledge of academic library assessment programs and methodologies on hand provided options for us to consider while crafting an effective data collection strategy to meet our focus and needs.
When Martha first joined us, we presented her with an overambitious draft of questions. Martha patiently guided us to focus our survey purpose, create structured questions that would elicit actionable feedback, and reduce the number of survey questions to increase the likelihood university faculty would complete the survey.
Martha had an outstanding 22 year career at ARL. She led ARL statistics and assessment programs shifting the focus of library assessment from merely input and output measures to outcomes and impacts.
Thank you for your help and engagement … It’s been incredibly helpful for moving our campus conversations forward, and it’s always uplifting to engage with colleagues like you.
Largely as a result of Dr. Kyrillidou’s untiring work, the profession has taken giant steps in moving forward toward a rational evaluation of the billions of dollars invested in society’s libraries, not only in the Unites States, but globally.
Since LibQUAL+’s initial development, Dr. Kyrillidou has guided it through a series of refinements and enhancements that have contributed significantly to its widespread acceptance and use among an international community of libraries. At present more than 1,300 libraries worldwide use LibQUAL+ ….. This is a remarkable – and rare – accomplishment.
